GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Responsible directly to the Executive Director for daily supervision of clients in accordance with established
policies and procedures. Will work with other team members to provide a safe and stimulating environment for the clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Regular and punctual attendance is required
*Plan and implement daily activities for the clients in the program
*Maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to clients and/or overall program
*Maintain positive relationships with parents/guardians
*Will be required to learn and follow procedures for tube feeding, lifting and administering medication as prescribed by a physician and follow a seizure plan for identified clients
*Must be able to maintain a clean and organized environment for the program
*Will be required to attend planned programs and activities that occur after hours
*Perform routine maintenance tasks such as clean-up after meals and mopping up spills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
*Must be able to lift clients using specialized equipment or with assistance from another team member
*Must be able to stoop, bend, twist, turn and reach on a regular basis
*Must have adequate strength, dexterity and agility to perform all tasks assigned
*Report any concerns or complaints to the Executive Director immediately
QUALIFICATIONS:
*High school diploma, GED or college coursework and sufficient education, training and experience to perform duties required in working with individuals with disabilities
*Experience in working with volunteers is desirable
*Ability to work effectively with other team members is required
*A background clearance is required
